Guesthouse Itoya, Kyoto

Our 3rd guesthouse for the trip -Itoya.
I got to know from KL who was also doing research on accommodation in Kyoto.

We thought of staying in tatami style room, hence Itoya as our choice.

It isn't near to any subway but public bus is very convenient.
We bought daily pass for 500yen per day and we can hop on hop off limitless for the day.

Anyway, we had a hard time finding our way to this guesthouse.
My fault for not checking properly upon departure from Nara.
We walked from Niji station (which is very far away!) and after an hour of walking to find 浄福寺通 and asking people for direction, we made it!

Such a relief when we saw the entrance. *phew*

The most beautiful corner in the 80-year-old wooden house.

And one more surprise for coffee lover -the pantry is equipped with ground coffee, filter cup and filter paper for hand brew coffee!
That's how I had my coffee fix every morning here. :)
