DIY: Ipad bag

If it's not for gift exchange, I wouldn't have the idea to make one.
Our makan gang xmas party has us to prepare a gift around RM15. Among 7 people of us, 4 own an Ipad. It's 4 out of 6 (excluding me). So the possibility of the Ipad owner getting the bag was quite high, I think.

Lucky that I was right, one of the Ipad owner got it!
I hope Michelle likes it. :)

The blue fabrics is from my Tokyo trip a year ago. The mustard yellow cover is from fabrics sample given by supplier.

I made these again for every members.
It can be keychain or bookmark or anything you want it to be.

Graduation gift for sis

We didn't want to get flower bouquet which is expensive and doesn't last long.
Chocolates and soft toy weren't on our mind too.

So we thought of DIY for the gift.

Using hand towels in different colours to make the flowers tied up onto chopsticks.
Quite simple and fast to prepare. :)

We made 2 as we gave to YP as well.

All the best to you both!

Flowers on happy occasion: You bring to me, I send to you.

Chenyee had her friends coming over for vege lunch she prepared last Sunday, one of her friends brought flowers.

So sunny!

And I was to visit sw on the same day, so I bought flowers on the day before.
Here's for her flowers in a glass jar with water hidden inside the wrapping.

The rest I put them on a table near to window in my living area.

So happy to see fresh flowers. :)

Just to fill up with flowers

I buy flowers on and off to put on the coffee table. Or to fill up my glass bottles.

Or it's actually to fill up the living area with brightness.

Or it's just filling my heart with happiness.
Just, fresh flowers make me happy. :)

Taylor's University Lakeside Campus

I'd visited this campus twice so far.
It's a relatively new campus in town, which is built with a beautiful surrounding and of course, a lake.

I was there this evening for a talk by a Japanese architect, Mr Hiroshi Sambuichi.
The talk was organized by JFKL.

They were enjoying the sunset and evening breeze as much as I do. I think. :)

Read more info about this campus from their website.

Movie night at new place

We spent our first weekend watching movie "Taipei Exchanges" together, as well as celebrating J's birthday.
We made good use of the palette which was sent to our place that morning. :)

Book: "Yasmin How You Know?"

"I laughed and I cried reading this book." -me

If you love her works, you will love her even more in person when you read this book.

My favourite parts were the Bank Bumiputra story and also the Yaohan one.

How brilliant.

Weddings

It must be a good month for wedding this November, as I'd received over 5 invitations for this month alone. :)
However due to my own schedule, I only managed to attend 4 of them.

I love this photo of my cousin and his bride, they look so sweet together!

Anyway, for all the newly-weds, congratulations and enjoy your marriage life!
Cheers for happy marriage!

Palette seat

We always see people turned junk into something useful, we would love to do that too.
Chenyee's office has a lot of leftover palettes leaving there in the sun and rain, so sayanglah.

So when we finally need to move to new condo unit, it's our chance to do this.

Sanding the palette.
We spent a few hours doing that on a hot Saturday afternoon.

The next morning, we went to paint the palette.

Now, they are at my condo already. :)

The only thing left is the cushion, which is custom made and it's still in the making.
Then I shall make a cover for it, and that's our seat in living area.

DIY is always a fun thing to do!

It's been a year.

Ah, time flies.
I reached Tokyo exactly a year ago for my 1-week trip.
It was a great one having my own sweet time walking around (but still feel safe :) ), and meeting up with friends there. Also I appreciate their warmth treats, be it the company, food and hug. ;)
I miss it so much.

When and where will be my next self-discovering trip?
I need a plan already.

916 a Century of Moonlight in Petaling St. Community 百年茨厂,百年月光

Thank you very much to the community behind this event to bring people to get to know more about one of our beautiful heritage area of Kuala Lumpur.
If not for them, I will not be aware of this important historical site of our city.

This is not my first time attending events organized by them, and I'm glad to say that it's getting better every time.

This is to collect stamps along the heritage trails of Jalan Sultan and Petaling Street area.
It's a good way to get info about the places.
Someone said "tak kenal maka tak cinta". I guess this is relevant to this case, get to know is to love.

Volunteers getting ready for the night 月游老街 Moon Walk . Old Streets, where we walk in groups to different locations to see performances.

The Petaling Street Community Art Project office at Jalan Panggung, same row as Moontree.

Yudi (友弟) 's singing from the window upstair.

杂货行which is now a guesthouse.

The big crowd.

We have to believe that this won't be the last celebration at Petaling Street.
