2025

I thought I didn’t do much in year 2025. But looking back, especially when flipping through my photo albums, only I realized I was in many events throughout the year.

I went for a shio pan and brioche baking workshop in the beginning of the year to feel what it’s like to be in a baking workshop. It’s not a fully hands on class, still there’s something to learn from others. Also attending HRDC Train the Trainer program with Kongsi Co-op working team. It was a good learning as well as getting to know people from other industries.

Finally, I visited Durian Guesthouse which is on my list for long time! It’s such a charming little guesthouse and Thai Soon is so nice to prepare vegetarian meals for us. We visited Folo Farm and A Little Wild as well on the same trip. It was a heartwarming trip visiting our peers in the south.

I quitted Kongsi Co-op working team as a part timer after 3 years, as planned, to fully focus on my baking career. That’s when I finally could join Kongsi Market as a vendor. Also, with more time for myself, I could spend 2 weeks helping my friend Jiin Yuan for the art installation work at National Art Gallery. Such an experience working with good friends! Letting go of something could bring in more, I believe. Another interesting gig was preparing pretty canapes for an event in Pavilion KL with cousin gang. Really fun joining all these spontaneous events!

As I continued with more baking workshops (I had 8 this years), I too participated in Slow Markets organized by Justlife Workers Co-op. And one of the highlights was returning to where Pantree first started -Melaka. It was nice to see all the familiar faces again!

One last thing -I have found a bigger place to move in early next year, finally! It’s going to be a living + working space for both my sister and I. That means I’m going to move out from this condominium unit where we have been staying for 15 years, and the compound I moved in since 2016. Yes, it’s a big move and this will be a good start for the new year.
