October pottery -hand pinched bowl/plate
Sometimes I skip wheeling to make some hand pinching works.
Both were glazed in matt white colour.
This bowl has some green colour hint.
This plate has a creamy yellow hue.
It's sold.
I adore this pattern as seen on how people carves on wood. I think the first strong impression about this pattern was when I visited Kyoto many years ago. It was the pattern of a wooden floor in a cafe.
So I applied it on my pottery, thinking that whenever I had oil dip or some liquid left on the surface, it will have a beautiful design on the bottom of the bowl.
